Kew Horticultural Summer Show

Our colleagues at Kew will be celebrating their summer show on 5th September — the 71st year that this traditional village show has been held.
It is one of the few produce shows in the London area that still uses a large marquee to display prizewinning fruit, flowers and vegetables alongside cakes, preserves and handicrafts. There are also categories for children’s entries.
Around the Green there are many stalls, a BBQ and tea tent, sideshows and a jazz band. Among the crowds there is a village atmosphere of people greeting old friends, but all are welcome.
The stalls open at 11.0, the displays in the marquee open at 1.0 after judging has taken place. The prizes will be awarded at 4.0 by the Director of Horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the produce will be auctioned at 5.0.
